‘Awakening the Senses’ Culinary Experience

Do you think you know how to eat a peach? There is a scene in the irreverant period comedy The Great, loosely based on Katherine the Great, where Katherine’s lover teaches her to eat a peach for the first time in her life and the results drip down her chin and lead her into full enjoyment of the moment.

Most of us are rushing through life, eating food in a hurry and as necessary fuel, and forgetting to slow down, tune in to the present moment, breathe deeply, and fully suck and lick the marrow from the experience of eating and loving and living.

Amanda Grace, chef, yogi and self-proclaimed master of sensual pleasure, has written the book on the subject. drawing on her more than 14 years as a whole-foods and healing chef, a deep kundalini yoga and meditation practice, as well as a lifetime of experience in pursuit of living in the full pleasure of the moment, she has recently launched her book, Aphrodisiacs to Awaken the Sensory System: The Art of Cooking & Eating vol. 1.

The Awakening the Senses Culinary Experience aims to bring this level of presence and pleasure to awaken and activate you and your guests at the table. Chef Amanda Grace will come to your home or venue and create dishes from her new book and in an experience which is part dinner, part practical demonstration, she will share with you how to tune in to the present to fully engage with your food and, in a manner of speaking, teach you to eat a peach for the very first time.

This experience is offered only as a ‘chef’s choice’ set menu. Dietary restrictions and allergies (such a vegetarian or vegan, GF or DF) can be factored in but ultimately the menu will be kept a surprise until the unveiling on the day of the event.

This experience may be offered anywhere on earth. Additional travel expenses may be incurred.
